This is our Annual Fundraising Event with goal of raising $10,000 to help support meals, equipment, and team travel.  
The team will be split up in groups to swim the 10K as a team. We will also have a team breakfast once the swimming is done to celebrate hopefully hitting our fundraising goal.

Timeline:
3:00pm -  End of day Pit-kids meet Coach Felix in the Cafeteria. The Booster will provide pizza for the kids to eat while they get ready for the parade. We will also celebrate September birthdays with donuts. 🙂

3:45pm - 4:00pm - Kids take their belongings to their cars and then report to the back of the school.

4:00pm Boats/Floats arrive- floats line up in the order they come into VHS so we do not have an exact location; line up is in the drive behind the teacher parking lot

4:00pm - Volunteer arrive to help decorate, direct kids, check candy- head to the drive where the floats are lined up

4:30pm - Swimmers join to help us decorate.

6:00pm -  Parade starts and will END at Four Points Middle School. Once at FPMS, students will exit the boats and enter the stadium for the Pep Rally. This is also where parent volunteers will QUICKLY remove all boat decorations and clean boats. We could use some extra hands here as well to make this clean up smooth!

Important Costume/Theme Information

🦈 "Sharks and Minnows" is our theme. The overall parade theme is "Tails and Ties", but each float can have their own theme. Upper classmen are Sharks and the rest are minnows.

The kids are responsible for their own costumes. Let's get creative! The captains have posted suggestions in the GroupMe if your swimmer needs ideas or has questions on whether they are a shark or minnow.

Parade

We will have 2 boats provided by Ski Dock for the kids to ride on, as well as the back of 2 trucks.

🍬 Candy - each student should bring a bag of wrapped candy. ABSOLUTELY NO CHOCOLATE, GUM OR NERDS - Boat rules.

Boat rules - no drink or food is allowed on the boats, except for water. No shoes are allowed on the boats. Boosters will provide water for the kids.

Boat will leave at 3:30pm and return at 7:30pm.  Bring sunscreen, towels, suits, goggles (if necessary), and noodles for the lake if you desire.  Kale Me Crazy will be providing delicious wraps.  All other food/snacks/drinks will be provided by parents.
